Re: [RC] [Guest] Riding too close - Jennifer Judkins

Hey Sandy, Sorry to hear about your accident.  I suffered a compound tib-fib fracture two years ago in a riding accident.  They put a rod in my tibia and I was back in the saddle within 6 weeks (my ortho doc, just rolled his eyes at me).

I can understand your concern about being too close to other horses.  Keep in mind its a dangerous sport and accidents happen from time to time, no matter how careful you are, unfortunately.  Hope you have an uneventful and speedy recovery.  Jennifer.

Lovely day for a ride and riding in line with my good friend when his horse
kicked out at mine. I was the recepient. Now, still is the hospital after
three weeks as the result of a compound tibular/fibular fracture of my leg.
These horses have ridden together and never did this before. I will never
get within a horse length of a horse again. I should be back and riding in
three months. It was also not much fun riding back to the house with the
leg dangling. At least it was my leg and not by beloved Mr. Man.

Sandy Rovane and Mr. Man
