I have the Garmin III Plus and it is an older one but I love coming home
from
a ride and plugging it into my computer and having a map of where I have
been. I use it with my National Geographic State CD's and it is super. The
only real problem I have encountered is when you have ridden say 6 miles on
a
trail and get a fix on where you parked your trailer and it gives you a
heading that is only 3/10ths of a mile away. Of course you wind up choosing
the short way and wind up climbing mountains on your hands and knees and
hoping your horse doesn't fall on top of you. Sometimes the longer route is
best! Linda Norton
