Re: [RC] McClellan saddles - A. Perez

"Does anyone know where I can get an older version McClellan
saddle in good shape that I might use for riding?"

If you have never ridden in one of these saddles before, I
HIGHLY suggest you do so before spending money on one. When I
was a kid, a friend of mine had one, and it was the most
uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on: bareback was
preferable, even on her high-withered, high spined pony.
They have NO padding, for the horse or for the rider: just
leather over a wooden tree. The only good thing about it was
the center-fire rigging.

I'd try ebay, if you really want one!
