Yep, I would always leave both roof  vents open, and maybe even a window a
crack. I didn't buy it for us, but for the horse compartment to dry the
blankets out when we alternate coolers. We would only use it if for some
reason we ran out of battery and couldn't use the heater in the trailer.

I'm the webmaster for johnnycash.com and am unfortunately, well aware of
what a propane heater can do. June's daughter Rosie and her friend died that
way last month when they were using these types of heaters in a converted
bus.

Be really careful with these.  A friend and I decided to use one on our
last
ride NATRC a few weeks ago and nearly suffocated.  It wasn't fumes, but
the
little thing sucked all of the air out of the trailer.  I woke up gasping
for
air and we had to open the door for a while.  Be careful that you have
sufficient ventilation.
