I was at a local State park in Lompoc (about 120 miles from the epicenter of the earthquake)tacking up my horse when it hit. I was on the opposite side of the trailer when everything started shaking. At first I thought Wiley must be pulling back because the trailer was rattling and shaking so badly....one of the drop down windows fell open. As soon as I realised that it was an earthquake, my friend and I untied our horses and took them to the middle of the parking area away from trees and powerlines. The quake went on for a full minute I'm told (seemed a heckofa lot longer!!!). All 4 of us (horses and humans) were dizzy for several minutes afterwards. Really scary. The Park Ranger came over to tell us that they were closing the park which made the whole thing seem even scarier. I couldn't get through to my kids to make sure they were ok....cell phones weren't working....I finally got through and found out everything was fine at home. Other than losing a bunch of water from the swimming pool, no damage here.
