Yes, Appaloosas are very prone to moonblindness, especially horses that are roaning white with no pigment aroudn their eyes. We have put down two of our appy mares with moonblindness. Appys with this color should wear face masks during bright sunlight or snow. I love my appy mare, though! She has the perfect solid bone physic and willing nature! Laura
