[RC] odd gaited horse - Rides 2 Far

she has started to pace
at the walk on downhill, especially steep ones. She seems very >
balanced...and is just trucking fast along.Anyone else have experience
with this?

Yep back in 1988. Steve Bright's horse, Zadok Tar J. Steve did a bunch
of rides, won the Tennessee 100 on him, then a vet who rode bought him &
did more 100's. He would just pace away at the walk on the flat while my
horse was hitting a slow trot to keep up. (he was full Arab, big, much
like you describe yours). His gait reminded me of letting the kids in
the elementary "walk" to the cafeteria. They want to run but nobody will
let them so they devise some funky ways to get more speed without getting
corrected.

Angie (calling for 65 degrees tomorrow, Yankee summer!)
