I was talking about the appearance of lameness when I
refered to the "tolerent of pain."
One of my horses does not appear to be lame when she
abcesses and another lays down and acts like she is
dying.  That IS a difference in tolerance of pain.

Yes, there is.  I was simply pointing out that this problem goes beyond pain
tolerance.
