Amen to this!  The successful riders might disagree to varying degrees about exactly how to reach the goal (reducing horse deaths, metabolic crashes, etc.).  But as shown by their successful careers (which I don't define by number of wins, but rather by the criteria previously mentioned - longevity, demonstrated concern for their mounts, etc.), these riders have "put their actions where their mouths are", and have some good ideas to share.  Seems that it's up to the membership to synthesize those ideas into a workable strategy.  JMO
