Yes, it is hot and humid here in the SE, so I guess you could look at a 15 minute as a penalty. But if my horse doesn't recover in 15 minutes, she doesn't need to be out there anyway. We are typically down when we come in (except during the summer rides, and sometimes it takes us a few minutes to come down). If she doesn't drop in that time frame (which is far less than 15 minutes), I've got a problem and it's time for me to pull and head to the vet for evaluation.
