[RC] No Points and BC Proposals or Another thought about Year-end awards - Suzanne SolisI may be wrong but the way the points are designed right now, and also depending on your weight division, it looks to me like you can top ten in maybe two or 3 rides and place very well in regional/year-end awards, wether your still riding the same horse by the end of the year or not. So it looks like our awards system mainly encourages the speed over the longevity and team building of horse and rider.
So the main question remains, How can we build a points system that rewards and encourages the longevity of one horse/rider team?
It seems to me that if we can find the answer to this question we will also find the solution to crippled horses and horse deaths.
