[RC] [Guest] Speaking of Pads - Ridecamp Moderator

Craig LeClair cleclair@xxxxxxxxxxxx
You might want to try the Dryback Pad from Skito to help keep your horses back dryer. The idea of this pad is to draw moisture from the horses back through the pads and evaporate through something like a Dixie Midnight Vent Pad which incorporated on the top of the pad.

This has helped me in two ways. The first way is that Gdala's back after a hard ride is a lot dryer and seems to be a lot cooler. The second way is my saddle seems to suck up every pad I have used in the front part of the saddle. Even using straps to hold the pad in place the saddle appears to be beyond the pad. The Dryback Pad with the vent pad on the top keeps my saddle from moving around and eating up the pad and that is a very good thing. : )

I have used this pad to complete one 50, lots of conditioning rides, and Gdala and I were able to ride the California Loop with Cindy, Jim McKibbin and Syliva Beverly this year just before the Tevis Cup. On the California Loop, the weather was a lot hotter that I am use to riding in. After the ride, I noticed a white type power on the vent part of the pad. I think this is a result of minerals that were deposited when sweet was vented through this pad.

Hope this is helpful.

Craig
