Jeanne,  I am going to pursue this subject.  I know of too many cases just
like yours, but 3 did not end as well as yours did as was the case with Zoom
Zoom.  Why don't these runaway horses stay with the others on the
trail?  Beats
me.

I wonder if in the wild an intruder trails a herd for days, afraid to join
the group and sometimes it is a month before he is accepted.  So their natural
instinct is to lay low and not let their whereabouts known.

I am just so glad you found your horse.  I will always ride with split reins
so they can't get caught on anything if my horse runs off.
