I pay $459.00 for the year, that covers medical, surgical, & mortality.
I think [I don't have my paperwork here] the limit is $7,000 per
incident, with a $250.00 deductible.  The mortality coverage is her
"replacement" :(  cost.  They required no vet exam.  The most expense
event to cover is "eventing"; "endurance" did not change the premium
from "trail riding".  The premiums will go up with age [obviously], but
then you can lower your coverage.

Hmmm ... I never thought about that. My liability insurance is through
Hallmark and it does say no race horses, but I didn't equate that with
endurance since we're just "finishing to win." <g> But then I wasn't
looking
for medical insurance, just coverage in case my horse gets away and
gets hit
by a truck or something.

best rates for us.  Markel is going to charge me 4% of value with NO

medical

coverage, only emergency race horse surgical at $150 a year.  And a

vet

exam.  So I only get coverage on a surgical procedure, not on a

medical

case.  I guess endurance horses get put into the high risk category.

Are

there any endurance friendly insurers out there???
