This has been a few years, not sure what they do now, but FEDEX used to give out Safe Driver pins. To reward drivers with no accidents. Still do..I'm a 17 year FEDEX employee. You get pins every year for no accidents (major ot minor), a nice gold watch for 5 consecutive safe years, A gold ring with a saphire for 10 and for 15 the ring has a diamond in it. Just missed getting my diamond by a few months...sigh... Accidents are classified by amount of damage and as to whether preventable or non preventable. Even those that are clearly not your fault end up being preventable in Fedex's eyes. Considering the amount of driving under stress/pressure we do these are highly coveted awards!
