[RC] Endurance friendly jobs - beth glover

Nursing! I am an RN who works 12 hour shifts. I work days, but some work nights. I work 10 days a month, some work 12, or whatever they like. I make my own schedule, although I have to do a weekend every month, and occasional holidays.  When I am working 2 days in a week, that leaves up to 5 for riding...although I have to work around other responsibilities and the kids and stuff.   Its usually easy for me to ride at least 3 days each week, unless I'm too lazy.  There are tons of jobs, everywhere in the country.  We need more nurses badly.  It's hard work but gratifying. Added bonus...you learn lots of first aid stuff that can be applied to caring for your own animals.  Pay is pretty good. It takes about 4 to 5 years of college training, but if you start as an LVN/LPN and go "career ladder", you can start working within a year. There are lots of hospital careers that also offer such flexibility.
