Hi, and I may really need some help.
Monday morning (9.30a) I need to transport a donkey (being reclaimed by his rightful owner from an ex-friend) from the 395/Red Rock area (where donkey is located) down to 395/Pleasant Valley area (Vet clinic for coggins).
My only huge concern right now is the weather for me coming up 80 over the pass. I'm in CA (Sacramento area), would have to leave here with trailer at 6-630a Monday morning. The rain/snow, last I heard, was supposed to stop Sun pm/ Mon am, but I don't know how the roads will be.
My friend (the owner) is out of town, which is why I'm going. If someone up in that area could volunteer their time/trailer to transport this donkey (it's about 30 miles according to MapQuest, mostly on 395), I would be eternally grateful, as would my friend. You would be met by me and/or owner's hubby and Dept. of Ag/police escort ("just in case") at the 395/Red Rock exit (Shell station there).
If the clinic can do a 24 hour turnaround on the coggins, I'll be back Tuesday to bring the donkey home from the vet clinic (roads are supposed to be better by then). Right now, the donkey is supposed to stay overnight at that clinic, or stay until the Coggins is done.
I don't mind driving a car through snow/ice, but pulling a trailer through that - even if empty - scares me a bit. If anyone can volunteer their time and trailer, please please let me know.
