But I don't have corner feeders, nor do I have the three snaps,
so this wouldn't work for me, but I had considered the string
hay bag idea.

Actually, what I considered was a thin spider-bungee-net pulled
over the top of hay in the manger... although I haven't figured
out how to attach it securely (visions of spider bungees pinging
off and having someone's eye out in transit <g>).

And the other problem is, as the bag got emptier, the hay would
have more and more space to fly around in.

So far the best idea seems to be the screens over the windows -
if indeed those screens reduce the air flow enough to stop hay
flying around in the trailer.
