The focus has to shift  from
"helping" riders to finish a ride, to looking after our horses at all
costs. The trinkets we ride for and even the vanity that drives us are
not worth injuring even one horse.


One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the money factor. When people are
selling winning horses for a lot of money, they are much more likely to do
anything to win. they are willing to take a chance in not going over the
edge, which can result in overriding  and death.
