My daughter, the one of us that can sew, made beautiful fleece horse blankets for my riding partner and I for last Christmas. She sewed nylon webbing around the edges and insert a nylon loop with a plastic buckle (could use a d-ring on it). I can send you the links to where she ordered them on the web if you like (cheap!). My rascal hasn't figured how to get it off yet, so I think it's the greatest idea since sliced bread (he's a mouthy horse and loves to figure out how to do/undo things with it).
