[RC] [Guest] a glorious day to ride....a little long - Ridecamp Moderator

Donna Shrader bshrader@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
You know, I just had to respond to that too....I rode my beautiful Arab Cloud today after a year of being so very sick with Lyme Disesase then Laminitis and on and on......so sore and sick I thought I would never see that light in his eyes again. After months and months of treatment and special shoeing my guy and I started back a few weeks ago with short little tiny rides at a walk with a bute to help the pain and stiffness. I hurt with him as he took each short step. Today all the leaves were in their glory in western Pennsylvania and the sun shone so bright. I saddled him up and we walked out into those woods and he had no bute this time and he started to trot like "lets go mom...what are you waiting for?" The light was back in his eyes and I had my boy back and had to keep him down to a few trots and he wanted to keep going and the sky was blue and the leaves were red and gold and the grass green and God brought him back to me if he never does another 50 miler I wont care if we can just ride like this again. Thank God for good vets and farriers!
