Must be a mistake. I would think the NC BC
would be the most coveted prize in the sport.

Not by me. The National Hundred Mile Award, the National
Best Condition Championship, the National Mileage Award, the
Jim Jones Stallion Award, any Pioneer Award are all well
ahead of it for me.

Since it's very difficult for anyone in the East to even think about Pioneer awards (unless they are retired with infinite money), then that's not even on the list. Since multiday rides seem to be the way to rack up mileage and the Mileage Award, JJ Stallion Award are mileage based, see the above comment.

I would even put the year-end regional awards ahead of any
single performance for one ride.

And for single ride awards, I would put both the Tevis Cup
and the Haggin Cup ahead of it too.
Nope NC BC followed by the OD Trophy, PAC BC would be my list. Aggravation getting to the Tevis is more than it is worth to me. I can stop and do a lot of wonderful rides out in the Mt. region between here and Auburn.

Cheers,
