[RC] Random questions - Dot Wiggins

I have a problem with focusing on punishment over prevention when dealing
with horse crashes. Doesn't help the horse.

Others have touched on this but how about careful selection of horses for
the sport?

How many of us can recognize a horse that won't need bell boots, splint
boots, interference boots, or special shoes to go down the trail?
How many saddles must you try to find one that fits?
How long do you work with a horse that doesn't eat, drink, rest, trailer
well, camp well. before you decide to try a different horse?

On conditioning.
What is acutally meant by LSD?
What are the miles, times, speeds, weeks, months, required for LSD.

How many hours/miles can a horse spend in the trailer without too much
stress?

When does an altitude change become a problem? How high (or low), how much
time, to have any effect?

I'll think of some more.
