But at least she signed her name...too often people are afraid to speak up about ANYTHING they see.  So they resort to anonymous postings.  Sorry, Ken, but I think this was just NOT nice.  What is YOUR ride history like?  Maybe you should take a look at yours, too because unless there is another Ken Cook, it's not any more impressive than Lilean's.  Let's not be so quick to judge and be nasty!  It's not what this sport is about.  What Lilean did was report something she saw (whether it is erroneous or not) and what you did in reply was just MEAN.
Miles of smiles,
I am sorry you feel it was mean, but I think it was a valid question. With a valid point. She has been going on about all these horses ready to die. Were these horse on IV's? What was this observation that is being touted as fact based on.  Numerous riders at that level put fluids back into thier horses post ride, just for the sake of helping them replenish faster. Personally I think it is a good thing, many of these riders are vets and are qualified to do so. I know a number of these riders and horses, PAC North and South. And they are very proffesional in the care of thier horses. Appearances are very often decieving, especially at a ride of this caliber. I wasnt there, but I have talked to some of the riders that were, of which some are vets. I dont quite get the same story. As to my record, you might want to confirm your facts before you say my history isnt any better than hers, you may have looked at my 2 rides I did before joining the AERC, the one that says no ID. Look at the one just below it, since I joined the AERC. You may want to retract your statement. I have a couple of rides under my belt since then.
Smiles!
