[RC] Causative analysis - Lydia Cassilly

In response to Stagg Newman's call for more and better data, I'll volunteer to assist in any way I can be useful. I ain't no computer wizard, but I can enter data via hunt and peck typing. I'm not racing now and haven't in the past two years, so I'd better make myself useful. What data do we have on pre-race metabolics? Seems that serum workups would be very helpful here--especially if we can cross ref to other things previously discussed ( distance traveled, weather, days camped at site before competition, etc.). If we're looking for causative factors, It would be nice to have a baseline! I would like to know how many horses are starting races already close to compromise. Is this something y'all have been doing while I've been out of it? If it were me racing, I'd pay to draw and run that chem on my horse. I ran baseline chemistry at home at the start of season when Coggins was drawn. Just the curious type, I guess. If you have an idea of what you need Mr. Newman, I'll be a strong back with a weak mind volunteer. For the Good of the Horse, Lydia
