[RC] flatwork during ride season - Michelle Fink

Hi -

I would like some practical advice of how to schedule in flatwork for a
horse that is competing (turtling is more likely than competing :-)). I'm
planning to do approx. 1 multiday ride per month starting Feb., starting
with LD/30's and working toward 50's over summer.

Would two flatwork sessions plus one longish ride each week be a reasonable
level of activity for my horse between rides? We'd have about 2 weeks to
work lightly between rides, providing I give her 2 weeks of turnout after a
ride (she lives in a big pasture and self exercises with her buddies).

Thx for any suggestions & happy trails -
Michelle
