[RC] [RC] time for riding - Rides 2 Far

I think I remember the owner saying 4
minutes of swimming is equivalent to 5 miles on the trail.

Used to hang around the track people some. The only problem with swimming
is that there's no concussion so the horses tend to lose bone if you
depend too much on it. However, in your case your horse's swimming is a
heck of a lot more exercise, and I guess no less concussion than my horse
is getting standing behind a windbreak all day. >g< It's 5 degrees in GA.
this morning, negatives with chill factor. Don't even want to think about
what the rest of you are putting up with.

P.S. read an article once about a horse that swam the English
Channel...isn't that about 30 miles of rather open seas?

Angie (home cause school was called off for snow! :-D
