[RC] neoprene gear... - RENESPONY

I have used a neoprene girth for 3 years now and have never had a problem.
I was also concerned that excessive heat build up would cause sores, or
sensitivity.
But I did have a problem with a fake neoprene padded halter it was a
plastic-like rubbery material. His head was RAW. it was summer and his sweat
caused a thick gooey rash behind his ears, all in 2 days. I tossed that damn
thing.

made me worry about his breast collar, but that has never caused a reaction.
i really love my neoprene saddle pad. it has holes at the top to vent the
back. really works. i thought that a rubber pad would cause the horse to
sweat excessively but it did a good job. and you don't have to worry about
the thing picking up sticks and crud if it touches the ground and then
causing a rub. Wash and wear tack.

                                                                   RENE
