I guess it's all in the perception.
Too bad more people don't see it as an invitation to take up the challenge. 100 milers are becoming an endangered species, outside of special events.

The way the statement was made was not setting the bar but
disparaging any one who did not ride 100's as less than an
endurance competitor. We do not need that in the least.
