[RC] Cat diseases - Petdoc6

OK this is off topic but there is too much misinformation about cat diseases being posted and I just have to jump in here.

Cat distemper is NOT like dog distemper.  Cat distemper or Panleukopenia is similar to dog Parvo--diarrhea, vomiting and death.  Cat with signs of respiratory daisies, i.e. matted eyes , sneezing, nasal discharge have one the respiratory viruses--Rhinotracheitis, calci, or pneumonitis.  The respiratory complex of cat viruses can often be treated successfully with supportive treatment(antibiotics and eye ointments) and good nursing care.

Vaccinations prevent all of these disease.  None of these diseases transmit to dogs or people--only to cats and raccoons.
