[RC] adios-questions for darolyn - Ed Kilpatrick

i apologize upfront as i may be a bit out of line here.  i read darolyn's long post on this and just have to wonder.  there was a lot about the ride and the pace and all that happened.  lot of mention of passing people and passing horses in the vet check.  in the other story, also, about hiring a venezualan rider/jockey.  i realize the type of rider, horses, and experience here.  but, dont you think it is time to slow down, take it easier on your horses and not push for all that other stuff?  is it worth it?  i just dont think so.    lord knows i hope it never happens to me and i know it is easy to second-guess what could have/should have been.  sure, the treatment might have made things worse, pushed it past the point of no return, but were you already over the edge?   ed kilpatrick
