[RC] PAC report - USA East team selection - Canada East news -
I am at a private home washing saddle pads for tomorrow, and my host (Lori
Johnson)has let me use the computer...such nice people here in Trout Lake!!
The USA East team was announced today. Team members are: Val and Emphatic,
Steve Rojek and Finally, Meg Sleeper and Troy, and Becky Harris and Honey.
Individuals are Cia and Wave, Wendy and Bei (?)who was an alternate going into
this, Stagg and Super, Dinah and Pheonix, Sue Greenall and Charlie, Lois and
Legs, Vicky and Jester, and Kathy Downs (don;t know her horse). Unfortunetly,
Lynn Gilbert and Chagall will not start - Chagall had a romp with a fence or
two several days ago (good thing we were out riding, because he went right
through our fence) and is off. Lynn is devistated, but Wendy is happy to be on
the squad.
As I sit here, I can see the Kings vet check (#5 and 6) filling up with crew
equipment and vehicles. I am on the other side of the check from Mel Sherman's
where I usually post from.
Oh, news of Canada East - not passing the vet in was the big warmblood - I
think the rider is Joan??? 17 year old Ryan Rawski's horse looks SUPER. I
remember when Ryan was born, and I adore his parents, so I am a little biased
in his direction (after USA East, of course.)
As John Teeter has said, the weather has cleared up, the mountain is again
visible, and it will be PERFECT tomorrow - 70s and breezy.
