Re: [RC] [Guest] sacroiliac pain - Annie George

I got bucked off really hard last year, and it put my sac out bad. I was laid up quite awhile, I found that the ONLY way I could get comfortable from the really bad pain, was to drag my saddle in the house and sit on it on the stand. I think it spreads the seat bones and the legs hanging down pulls it all to the rite position. Riding is the only thing that keeps mine from killing me. My horse and people masage therapist said to do the back arch exercises. Lay flat out on tummy and arch your lower back as far as you can, do several reps a couple times a day.  And yes she said sitting or slouching is the worst thing for it. I just came back from a 5 day, and Im telling you the ONLY thing that does NOT hurt is my sac!! Annie G.

Absolutely.......have had sac pain since the first of this year....don't
know exactly where it came from....age I guess......

But riding actually helps......walking and trotting, not
galloping.....sitting and laying down makes it worse......Just got a jacuzzi
and that helps too!
