Have someone add leather patches on your lycra. I add little diamonds or ovals to mine (course I sew and make my own).That and knee patches and mine 'stick' just fine.You could even handsew them on . Just pin them in place while wearing them( now this part is a bit tricky :) Laurie

Well, that's one thing I don't have to worry about with my new rider
husband. He's an ultra marathoner now. Have you seen what these guys wear?
He's not into stylish <VBG> you ought to see him barely able to walk to the
gas pump after a race in his spandex with windproof shorts on top usually
not color coordinated. But, very likely brand (Asics not Nike)
co-coordinated.

We just need to solve the slippery leather saddle against slippery spandex.
Sounds like
a) jeans work ok for short rides
b) try a saddle cover (sheepskin?)
c) half chaps and knee pads are just as good as full seat pants.
d) maybe cotton as its less slippery
