I agree Joe.  Keep in mind that sniffing model airplane 
glue can get you high and destroys brain cells.  If that
isn't a physiological affect from an "oder" I don't know
what is.  I guess you could call them "fumes" but then
define the difference between "fumes" and an "oder".

Scent is a chemical signal given off by the flower.
