[RC] Here in Washington for PAC -Hi gang- I am in Trout Lake Washington sitting at Mel Sherman's computer- she had followed my notes to RC, and came up to our camp to greet us!!! She just moved here from Montana and lives about a mile from where we are camped. Mel took Cia and I riding this morning and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! We went 8-10 miles through gorgeous forests along the White Salmon River in view of snow covered Mt Adams. The river is glacial runoff and really cold - you can feel the cool air rising off it as you ride, even thought the temp is in the 80s or 90s toda We are camping in a private field about 4 miles from the horse camp, and rode through it on our trek. Thank you to all who sent along the notice of the camp being closed due to fire danger - we had other arrangements anyway. The whole East team is assembling in this private field - Cia and I are the first ones here and have the field to ourselves. Wave and Music are enjoying the trip too, I think, and have not lost a pound in 2500 miles of travel. I can not believe how beautiful it is here and can hardly wait for my husband to arrive on the 10th to show him around - even picked up a real estate guide while in town today....hey, you never know!!
