Re: [RC] endurance trucks - Kristene Smuts

I HATE ALL YOU AMERICANS!!!!! ;-)) I get a glazed look in my eyes and a
trickle of spittle runs down my chin when I hear about all the cool trucks you
guys have there. I'm a power freak and mention of V8, V10 ...... <sound of
knees knocking bottom of desk> ..... dually <sigh> .......

To throw a spanner in the works, I have a Mitsubishi Colt, V6, 3L petrol (gas),
double cab, long wheel base, bumper pull. Gets about 6.5L / 100 km towing 2
horse straight load, loaded for a ride ... about the same highway driving
daily. When towing, have to keep checking back to 100 kph as it's very easy to
go faster.

Hubby's "toy" is a Nissan V6, 3L, single cab, long wheel base. Converted with
Chevy small block V8 and from manual shift to automatic. By all accounts, gets
about half of the Colt's consumption but much more power. This has not been
tested as he's always with his head under the hood, tightening a bolt or fixing
a rattle (which only he can hear!)
