[RC] vet times and vetcheck distances - Michael Maul

Hmmmm...thought I did suggest it. I discussed it with Mike Maul and
Randy Eiland at the Chattanooga Convention when I was trying to find out
why data on ride statistics and horse deaths was not available for our
members and number crunchers...that's where I got the information I
posted....and from a few other people, like Bob Morris. No one seemed to
know why it was on the sanction form....

*******
The request for the number of vetchecks/distances has been on the form for at least 7 years. Likely longer.

It was probably put there by some committee of the BoD wanting to get the information. Same for "How did you measure the distances - map, topo, wheel, motorized etc.

It would be nice data to have and some RM do enter it in the online sanctioning.

I agree with not publishing results until fees are paid. I'm not so definite on not publishing until the number of vet checks and distances are there. Or how the RM mesured the distance if we are going to require everything on the form before publishing.

Unitil I'm convinced that we know all of the data required to look at what we want to analyze - I'm againts adding requirements that may be inadequate.

Mike
