To all citizens of the USA: Why should non-residents legal or un-legal

vote

in AERC matters. Do we get to vote on anything in their country? Illegal
residents are now asking for free health benefits and some are getting it.
Who pays? The tax paying citizens of this country of course.


Hope, I hate to disillusion you, but this is not about non-residents, nor is
it about illegal residents.  It is about legal residents of this country who
do not happen to be citizens.  BTW, they DO pay taxes.  (Not that that has
much to do with the issue at hand.)  FWIW, my husband is one of the people
affected by this.  So is Hanne Hollander, who is an AERC Hall of Famer and a
former National Champion.  I think you'd be surprised at how many of the
folks you ride with at the rides are affected by this.  So when you vote no,
think of the fact that if your viewpoint prevails, riders like Hanne could
no longer have any say in the very organization in which she is a lifetime
member and to which she has contributed so much.  I think you know Hanne.
And please consider changing your mind.
