[RC] Vote on the Bylaws change that's in the mail now - Michael MaulIt's very important that you return this ballot whichever way you vote on it. Without a quorum of 20% of the eligible membership voting - the change cannot be approved even if all ballots came back in favor of the change. It must be returned by Sept 29.Please return it when you receive it. It's easy to go into the "Do later" pile and never get done. Mike **************************************************** General information accompanying ballot to the general membership,pertaining to a change in the bylaws with respect to the definition of “Regular Member.” “The new AERC bylaws were approved by the membership last year and are now in effect. The new bylaws only allow citizens of the U.S. or Canada to be regular members. Regular members have the right to vote in AERC elections. This amendment would allow resident aliens to join as regular members also. Resident aliens are people who live in the U.S. or Canada legally but who are not citizens. Please be sure to vote and return your ballot.
