I am almost (almost) positive that if there is tape in the stool and the dog injests it, the injestee will get tape also. I know if a dog sniffs another dogs poop it is possible to contract the tape. So I cant imagine not getting it if you eat it.

every time my dogs or cats have gotten tapes it has been from *fleas* from a dog or cat with tapes. i just keep everyone flea free and I don't kave to spend a fortune on droncit .

Even when I've suspected a horse has a tape, my "Arena Chow" eating dogs stay tape free.
