[RC] mares? - Mary Orosz

I am typing this one handed (broken finger) because my mare turned into a bucking bronco last night when I got on.  I just got her May 26 and this happened 2 times before.  I am pretty sure that each time she was in season.  The first time I had just finished assuring my 18 year old son that she was nor a bucker so he got on bareback, so I know it isn’t the saddle – plus she has been nice, sweet and mild mannered every other day.  I did notice she has been especially bitchy to my gelding and he has been moving quickly out of his way for the last few days – this is the only way I have of knowing she is in season. She was in season the other time it happened too.  Has anyone experienced mares bucking when in season?  I had just got on her and didn’t get my feet in the stirrup yet when she started to walk away.  When I tried to stop her from walking, she started to buck and continued till she finally bucked me off. Seems like an attitude thing, doesn’t it?  Any ideas?
