[RC] trailering - terre

Subject: [RC] trailering
"My biggest problem is learning how to back up and turn the wheel in the opposite direction I want the trailer to go in! Even with two peole outside I still had a hard time.:((( I was hoping to get some first-timers advice on this-how to make it easier to learn."

Try this: start with the truck/trailer in a straight line, with the truck wheels straight. Then, change your hands from the normal position (10 o'clock and 2 o'clock) to the "opposite" position--ie 8 and 4. Then, as you back up you 'neck rein'---swing your hands (and the wheel) in the direction you want the trailer to go. Eg, if you want the trailer to go right, you swing your hands to the right.
