Boy that's a tough one. Poor guy. I used to have mosquitos but the bats found my place and they apparently eat them at night in very large numbers. I haven't even seen on on me thanks goodness. I live in CA. though. But we have had horrible humidity~!! Yuck!

Anyway, I've heard that you can make some sort of solution with skin so soft by avon and that may help. I also feed my horses garlic granules or flakes in the small amount of grain I give them, and then use a fly spray that "kills" mosquitos; not just repel them.

I just read an article on mosquitos recently and what they are attracted to is what we and all our warmblooded creatures breath out! I didn't know that. So no matter what they will be attracted to use and our animals.

Your horse is probably thin skinned poor thing. Have you tried a closely knitted fly sheet? Maybe with a combination of things he may find some relief.

Hope he's better. I feel for him.
