RE: [RC] [RC] ultra stirrup (trail tech/easy rider) - Kelly Lane

Thanks Marci-I appreciate the good advice. I went out again yesterday after adjusting them one hole shorter and positioning them better on the webbers and they did feel better. I plan on getting the sheepskin leather covers to make it more comfortable and eliminate the rubbing. I'm riding in the Wintec Isabell dressage with the synthetic webbers and think with a little more use the stirrups will be great. I bought mine from Running Bear as well.

However, in saving the knees they put more stress on your ankles which is what you felt and if you have small feet the tops may rub your shin because of the bulk at the top of the stirrup. What type of stirrup leathers does your saddle have? Thinner biothane or synthetic leathers cause less bulk which helps prevent shin rubbing. With all that said I still won't ride endurance in any other type of stirrup and have used them on Ortho-Flex Traditional and Sharon Saare saddles with no problems. Currently I used the Trail Tech/Easy Rider combination sold by Running Bear and love them. Out of 9,000 miles of endurance I probably have used some form of the Trail Tech for over 5,000 of those miles.
