I have a galvanized steel trailer - a 1997 Sundowner. It has held up very well, and the paint is in excellent condition.

And for those interested the roof of my trailer is galvanized steel -- It
will not hold paint, 3 paint jobs since 1999 when I bought it used -- and cheap
because the top was naked! Paint holds on good for about a year, maybe a year
and a half, then flakes off in sheets.
