Re: [RC] 100s vs 25s Both - Larry Miller

Bob, never said it wasn't.  Re read my post.  After doing 100s and doing 25s I sure know the difference and they certainly are not the same effort wise.   But miles are miles, they add up the same, if one does a 100, they add up faster.  All I tried to point out was to quit the whining for Pete's sake.  We all do this sport because we love to ride.  PERIOD.   Some of us can do 100s and that is wonderful and amazing and deserves mucho credit.   Some can only do 25s and that is amazing for them.  I have seen great 100 milers, I have seen lousy 100 milers.  I have seen great 25ers, and lousy 25ers.  Take each person for what he or she can do on his/her ability.  No one fits the mold.  A lousy 100 miler doesn't mean that all 100 milers are lousy.  Same with a 25 miler. Same with a 50 miler.  Same with competitive folks.  We are all out doing the sport that we all love to do to whatever ability we are able to do it.  I am no better than you, you are no better than I.  But we are both better than the rider that doesn't prepare the horse and then runs like a raped ape whether 25, 50, or 100.  Jeanie
