[RC] [Guest] Horse on stall rest getting too fat - Ridecamp Guest

Bonnie Snodgrass
=====

One way to slow down a horses hay eating is to use heavy coton hay nets and
place one or two inside of another. I found the easiest thing was to remove
the drawstrings from both hay nets, place one inside of the other than
restring the draw string thru the metal rings of both nets. This makes
filling and hanging the nets less frustrating for you. Be shure to place a
screw-eye very high to hang the net from and run the draw string thru the
screw-eye then down thru a string at the bottom of the hay net then back up
and thru the screw-eye again before tying it off. This way you can raise the
haynet well out of range of pawing feet.
