[RC] [Guest] Jiffy Jacks - Ridecamp Guest

k s swigart katswig@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Be aware that Jiffy Jacks (or, barring that, driving the wheel of your
trailer up onto a block of wood) do not work with trailers that have
independent suspensions.

For both my 2 horse trailers (a 73 Stedham and a 93 Logan Coach), if you
drive one wheel up onto the jiffy jack, the other wheel stays on the
ground...where it is supposed to.

I am told that the Jiffy Jack will work on my Exiss stock trailer (haven't
had the necessity to try it), but for those of you who have trailers that
keep all four wheels on the ground, no matter how uneven the ground is, the
Jiffy Jack won't work.

I carry a high lift jack...which also has the added benefit of working if
both wheels on the same side go flat (not unheard of).
