[RC] Building a base: lets get positive - A. Perez

OK, for all those who don't like the way Howard
is going about things, instead of disparaging him and those who
congratulate him, how about desribing, in detail, what YOU
think is a safe, sound training progam? How many miles of LDs,
with what sort of recovery rates, should a horse have before
advancing from LDs to longer distances? What pace should a new
horse be started at, and how do you determine when to advance?
How is that 'solid base' obtained? What has worked for you?

Teach us, oh Wise Ones: we want to learn!
